This is Art playing fiddle and singing with Margo Rosenbaum on banjo.  I’m not sure of the name of this track,  I love how the dog starts barking right as the tune finishes.

Art Rosenbaum, one of athens finest, performed this weekend at Athfest.  It was definitely the highlight of my weekend and arguably the most significant performance of the festival.  Recently Art has gained a lot of attention for his box set “The Art of Field Recording. Volume 1”  which is out on smithsonian folkways and recently won a grammy.  It’s awesome, I really reccomend it!
Art noted that the performance was being held on the Athens historically segregated “hot corner” (the African American side of town) but he mentioned how folk musicians in Georgia were integrated long before the cities or governments were.  He also invited Margo Rosenbaum and Mary Lomax to perform with him as well.   I was able to record some of the performance on my iphone as well as with my Holga camera.
